This project involved designing a book based on a self-chosen topic. I selected cocktail mixology to create an engaging, beginner-friendly guide to making drinks that’s as visual as it is functional.
Problem
Many cocktail books are either overly technical or visually cluttered, making the content intimidating or hard to follow. Complex layouts, inconsistent design, and a lack of visual hierarchy often hinder the learning experience, especially for those new to mixology.
Approach
To address this, I designed a clean and inviting layout using sans serif typefaces, playful graphic accents, and vibrant drink photography. Each recipe is broken down into clear, easy-to-follow steps, supported by bold visuals that guide the reader through the process. The result is a book that balances clarity and charm, turning cocktail-making into an enjoyable visual and tactile experience.
